A unique three-way partnership was developed in 2018 as Mandy helped to launch a brand new fundraising and awareness event with The Players Tribune to benefit both PeacePlayers and The National Mentoring Partnership, which raised +$1M in it's inaugural year, with legendary event co-chairs in basketball's Bill Russell and Jay Wright.
A Night of Unity, held on Thursday night, September 20, 2018 at New York’s Canoe Studios brought together 500 leaders in sports, media and business, and celebrated impact, elevated youth voices, and highlighted powerful stories from those whose lives have been changed through mentoring and sport. Guests snapped photos in an EQUALITY photo booth hosted by Nike, sampled new coffee drinks at a Starbucks-hosted tasting station, wrote messages to the mentors who changed their lives, and shared their own personal stories about the power of sports to unite people.
