MNM Strategy LLC is an independent consultancy, owned and operated by Mandy N. Murphy. MNM Strategy aims to provide creative ideas and drive strategic social impact for clients through the inspiring power of sport.  Murphy is a seasoned sports for social impact leader with two decades of industry experience across both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, driven by a passion for using the power of sport and purpose to drive positive social change.

Mandy is a strategic consultant with clients that include both non-profit organizations as well as sports brands looking to develop their social impact strategies.

She serves as an Expert Advisory Council member on Beyond Sport’s new Return To Play fund as well as serving as a strategic advisor to Athletes' Voices, a new program under development with Harvard University to provide elite athletes with the tools necessary to make an impact beyond the playing field. 

She previously served as the Chief Executive Officer at the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, as well as the Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at PeacePlayers International.

Her tenure has also included:

  • Managing multi-million dollar partnerships with both Nike and ESPN

  • 8 years at Special Olympics International, overseeing the global partnership with ESPN after several years running their global media relations

  • Teaching ‘Social Responsibility & Globalization in Sports’ at Georgetown’s Sports Industry Management program

  • Sneaker industry communications and event marketing at AND 1 Basketball and Reebok

  • Managing events and relationships with the NBA, NCAA, WBCA, NFL, MLS, NHL, MLB, Olympics, X Games, and more

  • Work with high-profile coaches and athletes who have used their platforms to give back - from Villanova Coach Jay Wright who co-chaired the $1M fundraising gala Murphy developed and executed with The Players Tribune, to NBA star Damian Lillard - who as a Special Olympics global ambassador engaged with athletes with intellectual disabilities and did an array of interviews to celebrate the renewal of ESPN and Special Olympics' partnership.

    Mandy resides in Washington D.C. where she has been a longtime volunteer and coach with Special Olympics D.C. and also dabbles in the local improv comedy scene. She truly believes sport has a unique role to impact the world for the better and while her on-court game has always been amateur at best, she continues to hone her skills off the court to serve the greater good and inspire change.
